Blacksmith were a straightforward U.S. power metal outfit from New York that was forged in fire on the hard streets and steel mills and in the working class shadows of New York's state capital. Visually the band had a dark theatrical look, influenced by Kiss, W.A.S.P., Motley Crue and Alice Cooper. Musically their roots were more underground, with bands like Bitch, Overkill, Metal Church, Shok Paris, Grim Reaper and Mercyful Fate giving the band impetus to do their own thing. The DVD offers three Blacksmith sets from 1986, 87 and 89. Limited to 500 copies. (2011)
