Progressive music has many faces, and that's always the name of the game for Cynic: Re-inventing themselves and pushing their own musical boundaries. Re-Traced features 4 songs from Cynic’s successful comeback album, Traced in Air re-recorded and re-traced. These exciting numbers are re-born part sci-fi, folk, prog, psychedelic and to some degree more layered than their original versions. The release also features an entirely new song, Wheels Within Wheels. This CD comes with a 20 page booklet, and is housed in an I-Save Digi-Pak that is made from 100% recycled plastic. This EP is by no means an indication of where Cynic is going, just a re-exploration of some songs that are important to them. (2010)
