| Disturbed's Worst | |
This is their first and worst album. In an attempt to sound "tough" and "thrashy" Disturbed start off on a bad note. For some reason, the band decides not to use their strongest point, David Draiman's vocals, to anything beyond screaming/growling/quasi-singing on this album.
The actual music is not original at all. Very very basic 3-chord stuff. Too Nu-metal for my tastes.
The song "Down with the Sickness" is widely considered this album's best track and that is sad. It's an ok song, to be sure, but is by no means excellent. "Stupify" is a worthwhile tune but still pretty meh.
THANKFULLY, Disturbed's musical prowess grew tremendously after this album. Pick up their "Indestrcutible" CD to hear their best work.
