| Excellent!! | |
I am bias being a long time God Forbid fan, but what they have done here on Earthsblood is just simply amazing. They have taking their brand of thrash and weaved it in with progressive passages to just create something refreshing. Yes, it has plenty of comparisons to Opeth, but it is done much more smoothly...like a less technical Burst. I highly recommend this for any metal-head with even the slightest open mind.

Highly reccomended.
If you are not a fan of this band, buy this album, it will erase all pre-concieved notions you have about this band.
If you are a fan of this band, you are definitely in for a treat. The album itself is really good. Excellent song structures, crisp production, great artwork.
The Bonus Live Disc is basically the audio portion of the "Beneath The Scars Of Glory And Progression" DVD. The live CD mix is decent, and the vocals are not all that loud, but still an excellent bonus disc nonetheless.

| God Forbid shines | |
After absolutely hating thier last album IV: Constitution of Treason I was a little sceptical about getting this one but I gave the boys another chance because after all, they only have one bad record in my opinion. This just may be the best album they've ever done and mind you, I hold Determination and Gone Forever very close to my heart. A perfect mix of great riffing, amazing choruses and just great songs including the mighty Opeth like title track. God Forbid raised the bar for the new wave of American metal bands with this one.
