Great Sound: While it lasts...

I'll make this simple:

I was really looking for a little more in the actually MUSIC department here considering this CD costs considerably more than the rest of their catalog.

THERE ARE ONLY 7 LIVE TRACKS ON THIS CD

It is by no means a comprehensive live album although it is priced as such. I repeat, only 7 live songs. AND, all of them are from the Dark Passion Play album. I believe most fans were looking forward to recordings of Anette singing Tarja-album songs and if so they will be sorely disappointed.

That being said, however, if I had to pick 7 songs to hear live from DPP I would have chosen the ones on this CD. They are by far the strongest songs on the album and the recordings are top-quality. Marco and Anette both perform their vocals with monstrous energy.

The documentary is decent, albeit short. It warrants a viewing, but only once. I would rather not discuss it (so I won't).

CONCLUSION:
If you love Nightwish you'll love the new live tracks and perhaps the documentary. However, prepare to be left feeling ripped off because you only get 7 new songs and no Tarja-era material.
