And yet just as tasty. This album is much darker than the previous releases and has much higher production values. Marco is featured on vocals more than a few times (but not as often as on the following release, "Dark Passion Play").
The hit single "Nemo" is the highlight and the rest of the album holds up very well. "Dark Chest of Wonders" and "Ghost Love Score" are very epic and sound strangely like the soundtrack to Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies.
"Planet Hell", "Dead Gardens", "Wish I Had An Angel", and "Romanticide" are strangely dark and rough for a NW release.
All in all, this album is a great achievement for Nightwish. However, it may alienate some fans who don't like the new, darker direction.
