Saltatio Mortis plays a rough form of hardrock that is totally mixed with mediaeval instruments like bagpipes, flutes and big ancient drums. Of course, the commonly used metal instruments are present too. The music is two-faced. On one side there are the mean, raw vocals and on the other side there are the happy sounds of the mediaeval instruments. The combination of the vocals and the instruments creates a very special atmosphere, however, the happy sounds dominate. Unique.
