Excellent stuff from this French band, who play gothic rock/death rock/coldwave, drawing influences from The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, and Human League, with a decided '70s rock tone that shows a liking for Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Ultimately, Soror Dolorosa manages to carve out their very own sound, and it's a magical one that all fans of gothic/dark rock need to hear. (2011)
