It was probably the fascination for scandinavian heavy metal such as that played by Dark Tranquillity, In Flames and Sentenced and their innovative albums that greatly influenced Tystnaden. They were able to develop their style more and more and they soon expressed a wish to give some contrast to the raw male vocals by introducing a melodic, female voice. (2008)
