Prog Metal / Hard Rock mastery
Fans of Queensryche / Dream Theater and particularly mid-period Fates Warning, take note! 6 years after the release of their excellent debut, Visionary marks their comeback with an even stronger slab of music. If you're looking for some Metallica-style chugging of Dream Theater, you won't find much here, as most of the disc wades safely in the hard rock realm, though if you're a prog metal fan of the aforementioned bands, you may not notice the absence of heavy riffage.

There is seldom a dull-moment on this disc. Most of the songs always feature something going on - a piano run, guitar harmonies, etc. It makes the album a real joy to crank in a car on a road trip - everyone moment offers something new and exciting. If you enjoyed albums like Queensryche's Promised Land, Fates' Parallels or Inside Out or Images and Words you may just find yourself a gem.

Standout tracks: God Sleeps, Words of the Frenchmen, A Part of Me
