Melodic Black Metal
The legends of Black Metal have returned! This is an excellent album. Not a typical Black Metal album, and not as raw or aggresive as their earlier work, but certainly a masterpiece. Produced by the legendary Peter Tagtgren and Immortal, it has a truely professional sound similar to Sons Of Northern Darkess. This one showcases Immortal at their creative peak. Abbath's guitar riffs and solos are melodic and inspired, Horgh's drumming is nothing short of masterful, and Demonaz once again displays his lyrical genius. Definitely my favorite album of 2009.
